In line with our philosophy to deliver a sound, responsible and profitable plant nutrient solution to farmers, Megafert in conjunction with Mosaic have launched a new product development called Mega MES10.

This is a premium product that contains Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Sulphur, which is an advancement of Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) technology.

Mega MES10 is made using state of the art, patented manufacturing technology which ensures uniform distribution of the N, P & S nutrients in the one granule which leads to improved efficiency in terms of nutrient uptake; field distribution; environmental performance; handling and storage characteristics. The product provides advanced technology and an agronomic viable alternative to traditional MAP and DAP

  • As a result of sulphur inclusion, Mega MES10 improves the nutrient efficiency in terms of uptake of Phosphorus and Nitrogen by plants (up to 30% Phosphorus uptake).
  • It contains both forms of Sulphur (50% sulphate, 50% elemental) leading to a higher Sulphur efficiency, therefore matching a release of plant available sulphur to meet plant demand at the different stages of growth.
  • The balance of Phosphorus and Sulphur is ideal for crops and pastures.
  • If Sulphur is deficient, Nitrogen cannot be used efficiently for yield and protein production and vice versa.
  • Legumes cannot fix Nitrogen efficiently, if there is not a balanced supply of Sulphur, and Phosphorus.
  • Improved nutrient efficiency and even distribution of nutrients through seeding and spreading equipment leads to improved yields, quality products and environmental performance.
  • A nutrient efficient fertiliser such as Mega MES10 reduces risk of potential yield penalties.
  • Agronomic and market flexibility - can be further value added using MegaCote coating technology; e.g. additional nutrients Zinc, Copper, or more Sulphur to meet specific agronomic requirements.
